This data can be created with the tool ImgEditSprUtilCPC.exe included in the file sprUtilCPC.zip. With this program you can design sprites and get the data for the current sprite in edition with the button Image to clipboard, and in the editor for the program ccz80 paste. So you have an array that specify an image to assign to sprites in sprUtilCPC. It is not necessary compress this values for use as image for an sprite.

You can get with the same action the inks for assign to pens and view the sprite as in the editor, with the button Ink to clipboard. That create un array with values for pen 0, pen 1, pen 2, etc.
